2014 - Our Tribe Rocks!

 

As we reflect on 2014 we are reminded of how many inspirational people we have had the opportunity to work with this year.  Each of the trainers took a moment to acknowledge all their clients improvements, transitions and transformations.  Here's what they had to say:

When I look back on my clients and their accomplishments I see Amy I and her core progress each week in the abs class, Bryan K working to bench over 100 pounds and reaching that goal and gaining more confidence at every workout.  I think of Anders E not only getting stronger but mastering his form and coordination.  Rachael R for being able to do a perfect push and Samantha M. for wanting to train more because she is seeing results.  Collectively, there are so many clients who have met and surpassed their goals and it's gratifying as their trainer to see their progress and know that I helped them push themselves towards them!

 

For myself, I took a chance on my passion with Bell's and I'm able to do what I love which is a huge accomplishment.  Since then, I have been able to give back to children in my city with Virtua and The Boys and Girls Club with community and health day events.  There's so much more I want to accomplish with this company and I feel like  have learned from Chris just what it takes to be a great trainer.  I want to utilize his wisdom and expertise and help take us to the next level!

Oh my 2014 sure wasn't a bore.

Many wonderful things happened over the year.

Most recently my very first client I got at Bell's Bodies (February 2010) Linda G. at the age of 67 has been chosen by CNN to participate in the Malibu TRI. She's the hardest working "elder" (lol) in the bunch and she does it all with a smile. Never a complaint never a waiver - pushing, reaching, going.  She's who I want to be when I grow up.  She's been through all of my hard times, happy times and in between times. She's a client, a friend, a nurse, a listening ear and her empathy and compassion for people shines.

Vickie C. has made such leaps and bounds this year. Coming in with foot drop and loss of balance.  Her form, endurance, balance and level of training has advanced so much and I am so proud of her commitment to her healthy lifestyle change.  She's rocking it!!!

Janeen - my lovely Italian Shumaker.  My Tuesday/ Thursday girl.
She shows up, on time 2 often 3, sometimes even 4xs a week. When her hectic schedule with 3 kids under 7 and a hubby who travels a lot allows her to,  she's there ready to work.
More importantly ready to bust chops, laugh, reminisce about our days in the 80's and often adding a little funky dance in the midst of it.

Kelly G. my "she be small but mighty" gal. She's a machine!  Full time job, 3 boys under the age of 7 and there she is at 5:50AM, wednesdays ready to rock.  She tough and there is nothing she can't or won't try do with amazing strength and perfect form.

Christine R. The best part of my Monday night training sessions has been watching Christine come in put her earbuds in, jump on that elliptical and sweat.  Each week I've watched her metamorphosize like a butterfly right before our eyes.  Her dedication is relentless. Nothing nor anyone is going bring her down.  She's proof of what blood sweat n tears can bring you.

Then there's my co workers - our young blood Victor. He loves life, loves training, and does it all with grace and humility. He makes us proud.


Johnny G.  John lives, eats, breaths, the fitness lifestyle. He just doesn't preach it. He's a "doer".


Then there's Christopher who's our heart. Our heart when we have nothing left and his belief in us when we have our moments of self doubt. He's the glue.

I'm blessed daily with the people that walk into our studio they give me hope, strength, faith, laughter, inspiration that there is more good in world than bad.

We got a team together and headed over to Cooper River to "Run for Boston". We wanted to recognize those effected by the bombing there earlier this year. Boston Strong!

This year we started a new cardio kickboxing class thanks to the landlord who lets us hang heavy bags from the ceiling!

Our heavy bag mounts on the ceiling have doubled as TRX mounts as well. Classes will resume in the spring!

We welcomed Danielle on board this year to help our clients with flexibility. She's available for a one on one session whenever you are!

We launched our Athletic Performance this year with an onsite boot camp for the Audubon soccer team. We brought Chris Costa on board to head this program. Check out his page on this website!

2012/2013 also brought us El Diablo. Our tribe calls this Ski Erg machine "The Devil"....and rightfully so.

Breastfest Boot Camp is a fundraiser for The Tyanna Foundation who are near and dear to our hearts. These ladies raise awareness and money for help locally to fight breast cancer.

We entered the 2013 Gym Source "My Trainer Rocks" contest and won 2nd place!

Our tribe participated in our first ever Mud run in 2013! It was a huge step out of our comfort zone and we did a spectacular job!

Bell's Bodies Fitness organized and hosted its first 5K in 2013! Our Luminosity 5K will be the first of many events celebrating life and the people who inspire us.

The Sisters

The Sisters

Our first Luminosity 5K benefited the River Sisters who are all dragon boat team members supporting each other in their lives during and after disease. The money we raised will help them make blankets for chemo patients at local hospitals.

80s Run

80s Run

2013 also brought us the 80's Run in Haddon Township. This was a great morning ending at The Irish Mile. The Costumes were totally awesome. Next year we hope to get in on the 80's fashion statements.

Beth has brought us UGI Ball in 2013. This class is a great full body workout in just 30 minutes!

We did our first ever Zombie Boot Camp for Halloween Weekend 2013! We even did a 1 minute Michael Jackson Thriller dance at the end. The boot camp raised money for a local family trying to battle pediatric lymphoma.

Bell's Bodies participated in a Zumbathon for the first time in 2013. Our own Suraya was one of the instructors at the event and we knew we had to come out and support the cause. We had a blast! Now we are offering Zumba with Suraya at Bell's Bodies Fitness - another first in 2013!
