But at this point in my life, I don't weigh myself....I do my own 'fit test', as in 'how do the clothes fit'. I eat healthy, but the very best part is that I have found a place that actually makes exercise fun - Bell's Bodies...and, amazingly, the clothes are looser. Bell's Bodies is sort of like the TV show 'Cheers', but at a gym. There's a camaraderie that makes me look forward to going as often as I can. I love that the workouts are varied. The trainers all have different styles, all challenging! At 64, I feel some pride that I can still do it (or, as Chris says, discovering my 'inner athlete')! Although I have no small children at home, I am busy - house & husband, full-time job, volunteering at a crisis hotline, a 92-yr-old mother who needs help/care, and last but certainly not least, my grandkids. But I have also made going to Bell's a priority, and some days are harder than others - I go to a 6am class, dash home, shower and get to work by 8. And there are 2 group sessions, with mostly school people (teachers, secretaries, nurses) that I really look forward to. We commiserate, complain, laugh, talk....oh, yeah, and we sweat! We are smilingly scolded by Chris Bell pretty often - "If you can talk, you're not working hard enough!"
